Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Portage collects when you browse, order or contact us, why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.

Last updated: 2026-07-14

1. Who is responsible for your data

LZTRANS LIMITED("Portage", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data processed through lztrans.shop. You can reach us at:

LZTRANS LIMITED
82 Beechwood Grove Uphall Station, EH54 5QJ, Scotland, United Kingdom

2. What we collect

  • Order and fulfilment data: name, email, phone, your delivery and shipping address, items ordered and order value — used to process and ship your order.
  • Order fulfilment and delivery: we process your shipping address and contact details for order fulfilment (fulfillment), dispatch, tracking, returns and delivery support with the carrier.
  • Account and support data: messages you send us, membership status and correspondence history.
  • Move Planner inputs: home size, move type, fragile level and budget band you enter to generate a recommendation.
  • Payment and billing data: handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation and limited billing details (such as the last four digits and card brand) but never your full card number.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and essential cookies needed to run the store and cart.

3. Collection sources — where the data comes from

Our sources of collection are:

  • Directly from you when you fill in the checkout, contact, wholesale or Move Planner forms.
  • Automatically from your device (cookies, IP, browser) when you browse the store.
  • From our payment processor when a payment is confirmed.
  • From our delivery carrier when it provides tracking and delivery status for order fulfilment.

4. Why we use it and our legal bases

  • To fulfil your order (process payment, ship kits, handle returns) — performance of a contract.
  • To provide support and answer enquiries — legitimate interests and, where relevant, contract.
  • To run membership subscriptions and apply benefits — performance of a contract.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent fraud — legitimate interests and legal obligation.
  • Marketing, where you have opted in or where permitted — consent or legitimate interests; you can opt out anytime.

5. Payment provider boundary

Card payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified payment provider. Portage does not see or store your full card number, CVC or full payment credentials — these are entered on the payment provider's secure checkout. We only receive the result of the transaction and limited non-sensitive details needed to manage your order and any refund or dispute.

6. Who we share it with

We share data only with processors that help us run the store, under contract and only as needed:

  • Hosting: our website host and infrastructure provider.
  • Payment: Stripe, to process payments, refunds and disputes.
  • Database: our managed database provider, to store orders, leads and support records.
  • Email: our transactional email provider, to send confirmations and replies.
  • Delivery: the shipping carrier fulfilling your order, which receives your delivery address.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. International transfers

Some processors may store or process data outside your country. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

8. How long we keep it

Order and accounting records are kept as long as required by law (typically up to 6 years). Support and lead records are kept for up to 24 months. Move Planner inputs are kept for the shortest period needed to provide the recommendation and are then cleared. You can ask us to delete data sooner where no legal obligation requires us to keep it.

9. Your rights (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise a right, email support@lztrans.shop. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local EU supervisory authority.

10. Your rights (CCPA — California)

California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion, and are entitled not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Portage does not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. To make a request, email support@lztrans.shop.

11. Do Not Sell or Share

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of, but you may still contact us with any preference.

12. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to run the cart and checkout. Any analytics we use is limited and privacy-respecting. See our Cookie Policy for details.

13. Automated decisions and children

The Move Planner produces a general suggestion; it is not a decision with legal or similarly significant effect, and a human is always in control of what you buy. Our store is not intended for children under 13; users aged 13–17 need a parent or guardian's consent, and ordering and payment must be completed by an adult.

14. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable processors. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you and regulators of a breach where required.

15. Contact and complaints

Email support@lztrans.shop for any privacy question or request. Governing law for this policy is Scotland, United Kingdom.
